Elaine recounts "I was at school when Miles Davis recorded his masterpiece Kind of Blue.
Considered by many to be the most influential record ever recorded it changed
the sound of jazz forever. When I first listened to it over ten years later it
seemed to open up a whole new world of possibilities, and certainly gave me a
love of modern jazz which I still enjoy."
Elaine speaks of Orkney skies, seas, summer, endless horizons, a fascination with light and the colour blue, and ceramics' love affair with it. She calls her present exhibition "a little nod to some of the influences mentioned."
