Northlight Gallery is located in the centre of Stromness on the South West coast of Mainland Orkney. It is an independent, non-profit, white wall exhibition space totalling 24m2 (258ft2) connected to a workroom with a sink, sofa bed, shower and cooking facilities. Individuals or small groups with a creative project can apply to show their work and it is possible for visiting artists from off island to stay in the gallery with their exhibitions. In 2024 Northlight will not be available for self-funded Artist Residencies because there is a high demand for exhibitions.
An illustrated list of the exhibitions since the opening in 2015 can be seen on the blog pages.
From 28th April - 6th May Trevor Davies and Vicki Redpath-Watson will be showing 'Driftwood & Black', artworks with wood and graphite in the gallery.
